Please note that a registration is a commitment to pay on or before the event. Unpaid registration fees (including no-shows) will be added to the registrant’s total balance due.

Any registration cancellation must be received 72 hours before the scheduled event in order for a refund to be issued. A $35 processing fee will be charged for all refunds.

No-shows will be invoiced and subject to all charges including registration fees, meals, and hotel charges - if applicable.

Traversing the Complexities of Today’s Literacy Landscape: Possibilities for Research, Theory, Policy, and Practice

Location: University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee

 The 2019 Wisconsin Literacy Research Symposium seeks to examine literacy research that moves beyond narrow explorations that perpetuate dominant frameworks and ideologies toward research that embodies critical transformative inquiries that hold students’ cultural and intellectual resources central in literacy learning. We invite researchers, educators, pre-service teachers, and policy makers to become active participants in the exploration of literacy research as it is conceptualized for the complexities of today’s literacy landscape.
