Perspectives for Supporting Teacher Learning and Change with Cathy Toll

This webinar will assist participants in reflecting upon their attitudes in relation to colleagues and how those attitudes may support or limit their ability to be strong collaborators. The session will include: some dichotomies in the way we think about our colleagues and how they influence our effectiveness; the power of worry and fear in limiting our openness to others; and strategies for growing as literacy leaders who perceive colleagues with kindness and respect. Attend to learn how to help literacy coaches, reading specialists, school administrators, and other literacy leaders become more effective in their work with others.

Cathy Toll supports teacher learning by guiding educational coaches, professional learning teams, and administrative leaders. She has been a consultant, keynote speaker, and workshop leader throughout the United States, Australia, and Canada. Cathy has served as a teacher, a reading specialist, a curriculum coordinator, a principal, director of literacy research and development, grant director, state department of education consultant, and educational coach. Cathy has published widely, and her most recent book is the second edition of The Literacy Coach’s Survival Guide. Her website is
